Application for lectures

The 68^th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Microscopy, applications for lectures are being accepted simply through your direct login to the Annual Meeting portal site where every particular application is managed. There, all the applications can be registered, altered, verified and deleted. Every single procedure to attend by general presenters, invited speakers or only participants should be managed right here.

Application period for lectures:

January 11^th(Wed) - February 23^th (Thu), 2012

Please make sure you apply by the deadline.

(1) Qualification for application and Number of lectures

Applications for lectures are accepted at any time regardless the number and membership is not required for applications.

At the symposium, officially designated lectures are basically given. However, sessions for general lectures are also available.

(2) Period of acceptance

January 11^th(Wed) – February 23^th(Thu), 2012

(3) Presentation Style

General lectures are either verbal presentations or poster sessions and lectures at the symposium are verbal presentations only.

Verbal presentations: At least one projector is available at each venue.

Poster Sessions: Specifications for poster board: 210cm vertical x 100cm horizontal

Specifications for exhibitions: 170cm V x 100cm H

(4) Adoption judgment

Regarding adoption judgment, Program Committee of JSM will process all the applications for lectures and post results of adoption on our Homepage by indicating name of titles.

(5) Instructions for presentation sessions and presentation style

Regarding presentation sessions (general lectures and symposium) and their style (Verbal/Poster), the Committee will meet applicants' requirement as much as possible. However, in case of not meeting requirements, we hope you will understand the situation.

(6) Allotted time for presentation

1. General lectures verbal presentations: 15 min. including discussions

2. General lectures poster presentation: Please keep posters put up on the poster board throughout the meeting period.

Allotted time for questions and discussions shall be announced later.

3. Symposium lectures verbal presentations: The organizers of relevant sessions will determine.

(7) Outstanding Poster Award (available for members only)

The selection committee will pick them during the period of the meeting.

Outstanding Poster Award will be given at the social gathering.
