Stabilization of Cantilever Oscillation in Dynamic-mode Atomic Force Microscopy Using Time-Delayed Feedback
Abstract: We imeplemented the method of time-delayed feedback control to a commercial dynamic-mode atomic force microscope for suppressing chaotic oscillation caused by the nonlinear tip-sample interaction force. Cantilever oscillation was successfully stabilized by applying our prototype time-delayed feedback controller with the magnetic cantilever excitation method.
